MediSave Medical Practice System
Introduction:
Earlier this year, small medical practices were hit by a new wave of legalities, such as hand written notes are not accepted in a case of medical malpractice. So, as this hit close to home, I decided to look at all the paid software that people were using and was appalled at the price, sitting at an average of 1500-2500 rand for medical software, about 25000 rand per year. I decided to try and find funds to build my own; however, this has been very tough, but as of October we got a working system that needs fixes and UI/UX enhancements. To do this, and to make it such that small practices will not have to break the back to digitise, I am starting this campaign and will add a link to screenshots of proof of the current system.
How will your funds be used:
I will be using your funds to hire devs and fund the system operation, which will ultimately be shared with small practices and people. I am open to be fully transparent and willing to show signed change documents and design documents.
Impact and Value:
This system is designed to combat the online only environment of the world by having a localised, installed application, as well as to ensure that data is not being used by any corporate; we do not collect any data by letting you own the database and not forcing you to use ours; and, lastly, to combat exploitative pricing that locks out medical people who are truly doing medicine for the charity work, not for wealth and power.
